Although the pandemic prompted a significant boost in play, paving the way for a multitude of golf course improvement projects, new course openings in 2022 were nowhere as voluminous as they were two decades ago. But a lack of quantity does not mean a lack of quality.
Sports Illustrated and SI Golf have awarded Bobby Weed Golf Design’s new build at Stillwater Golf and Country Club (St. Johns, Fla.) as the 2022 Most Innovative Course Design.
