Transforming a calm countryside into a championship 18-hole, par 72 golf course would require noteworthy imagination and a keen sense of the Twin Cities’ ever-changing weather patterns.
This public / semi-private club needed to provide a stern challenge for skilled players, as well as an enjoyable outing for beginners and juniors. The tips would stretch to 7,013 yards and offer a slope rating of 74.1 / 139.

StoneRidge embraces the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” with water on all but two holes. Many of these picturesque lakes are adjacent to massive sand bunkers. As holdovers to the previous quarry mining sand and gravel, players are treated to dynamic visual contrast.
Notably, Weed incorporated a large white barn into the 11th hole, a remnant of the former farmland. The 502-yard, par 5 “Barn Hole” offers a scenic and memorable approach. Some fearless players have even played through its open doors!
